JJ Humanity, a non-profit institution that provides remedial instruction to children with disabilities such as Dyslexia and Autism Spectrum Disorder, was established in 1999 in Chennai. The institution was founded with the goal of addressing the needs of children with learning difficulties and was created under the “SRI GANESH TRUST,” a non-profit organization consisting of seven trustees who are professionals. JJ Humanity operates as a charitable trust and is eligible for tax benefits under the 80G income tax rules. The trust is also registered with the National Trust and the Commissioner for Disability under the government of Tamil Nadu.
The first is the Open School, which is specifically designed for children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). The second location is the Learning Centre and Special Needs School, which provides education and support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Global Developmental Delays (GDD). This location also includes a Vocational Skill Training Unit.

At We Care, the faculty is comprised of a diverse group of professionals, including Remedial Teachers, Special Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Vocational Trainers, along with supporting staff. The faculty members bring a wealth of experience and competencies from various educational backgrounds, allowing the institution to effectively address the unique needs of each student. The institution maintains a low teacher-student ratio of 1:3 to ensure individualized attention for each student. Additionally, JJ Humanity conducts Teacher Training programs in Learning Disability and Autism, with the goal of developing a highly skilled teaching workforce.

In 2006, we began providing care for five children; today, there are 200 of us, and we are prospering. We are aware of the children’s differences and problems, and we collaborate with them to bridge the gap. Their education is intended to support them as they prepare for further education and independent life.
